Biography

A lifelong affinity for science and a penchant for working with his hands led Dr. Bartling to pursue a career in dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Emory University in 1983. Upon graduation, Dr. Bill completed a general practice residency at the University of Louisville in 1984. He opened his own practice in his hometown of Orlando in 1986 and practiced there for 15 years.  He is continuously striving to advance his knowledge and education, and earned a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003, with a focus on computer technology in dentistry.

Dr. Bill is a current member of the Florida Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and he is the Webmaster for the Marion County Dental Society.

Dr. Bill chose to make Marion County his home to be close to family, but also for the beautiful scenery, sports and recreational opportunities. An avid fitness buff and outdoorsman, he enjoys CrossFit, running, hiking, kayaking, and horseback riding, as well as adventure travel.

When Dr. Bill is away from the office he also pursues his passion for music. He has mastered the guitar, mandolin, and Dobro, and is learning the piano and drums.  He enjoys traveling with his family and friends to bluegrass jams and music festivals throughout the southeast.
